    INTRODUCTION

    This is a 3-month part-time instructor’s certificate course covering a range of theoretical, conceptual and functional skills in phonics and phonetics.

    OBJECTIVES

    This course aims to improve participants’ pronunciation and command of the English language and moves on to equip participants with the necessary skills and methodology to help children develop their language and literacy skills. The study of speech articulators will equip participants with the capability to rectify speech language difficulties, and the ability to impart the knowledge of phonology and phonetics to the children.
